H 40-50’ W 30-40’ Broadly pyramidal shape rounding with maturity. Dark green leaves turn golden yellow in fall. Native birch of the river bottom also does well on upland soils. Reddish-brown exfoliating bark adds winter interest. Resistant to bronze birch borer. Intolerant of high pH.
